I work today at the nexus of education, 4IR technologies and entrepreneurship, looking to scale solutions in conventional and non-traditional settings and locales. My commercial experience and understanding of entrepreneurship insert a practical perspective into innovative solutions and approaches. My expertise at the intersection of strategy and finance brings a noticeable focus and discipline to planning and development.

I am currently the Director of StartUP FIU, a university-wide initiative to foster innovation and entrepreneurship at Florida International University (FIU). He devotes much of his time to commercializing faculty research in emerging technologies through venture capital investment, corporate partnerships and federal grants. Prior to StartUP FIU I ran One Laptop per Child, an MIT Media Lab international edtech project and built a billion-dollar public company in Indonesia. I also taught an IAP course at MIT Sloan for seven years and the local and national program for Goldman Sachs 10KSB. I am the author of two books on traditional and social entrepreneurship and a frequent speaker on the 4th Industrial Revolution and related topics in technology, innovation, education and social impact.
